I am a stay at home mom with a love for Shih Tzu's. 
Every puppy here at Amy's Precious Puppies is PRECIOUS to me!  My main cryteria is that they go to loving homes!
I got my first one in early 2004.  I didn't know then what I do now as far as what to look for in a Shih Tzu, as I do ALOT of reading on the subject.  He was very nervous around men for some reason, even though we only ever babied him.  I got my female, Mitzy, shortly after I got my male... maybe a few months later. Mostly so he wouldn't be lonely when we were not home.  She had the typical Shih Tzu temperament.  Since then, I had gotten another male.  This time, I imported him from Brazil.  Now THIS dog has a fantastic temperament!  He is everything a Shih Tzu should be.  Very easy going and laid back.  He has a wonderful thick coat of hair.  
    I raise my dogs in my home.  They are born in my living room and I keep a close eye on their development.  I raise only AKC registered Shih Tzu's, and I am in good standing with them.  I believe that only the American Kennel Club sets the standards as to which we are to abide by. 
I have imported my male, but he is also AKC registered.  He has an awesome champion  pedigree and comes from 2 world champions in only his 3 generation pedegree! I have also imported one of my females and she comes from an awesome champion line too.

    When I do not have puppies running around my house, we travel.  We love to go down to Disneyland.  I live in the Central Valley of California.  My children love the dogs and spend lots of time with them.  We have 'professional puppy spoilers' on hand all the time.  I have them in my music/computer room in a large puppy pen where they have lots of room to play with their toys.  They are potty pad trained and they get to run around the whole house sometimes.  
    I do not raise my dogs in kennels!  I raise them in my home!  My older dogs have my whole house to play in.  They also sleep in my bed at times.
